This easy to use and convenient product with SPF 30 and UVA/UVB rays protection is unique in its form. It is best as a to-go product or when you’re in a rush because of its stick form. This product also does not leave your skin too white or ghostly white, as opposed to some products.

However, it can be too hard to rub on your skin and it has a thick consistency. Personally, I found this product a bit greasy. But I really love that I do not look ghostly white after this and that I can use this when I’m just running errands and in a quick rush.

This product is extremely helpful for those who wants to prevent acne breakouts in the face. Because of its chemical free and extra gentle formula, it is good for those with sensitive skin and does not promote breakouts in the skin. This product also contains an SPF amount of 58 which makes it a stronger sunscreen that other products.

Moreover, it is also resistant against water, sweat and even washcloth. For this very reason that I find it a bit difficult to remove, as well. As a mineral based sunscreen, I find it a bit thick as well and it does not dry easily.

However, as compared to some sunscreens that are mineral based, as well, this product has the capability to absorb quicker than other products. Another thing I absolutely loved about this product is its tint! It acted as a foundation as well because of its really good tinted coverage.

  • Good for acne-prone skin
  • Prevents breakouts
  • Has a sensitive formula
  • Resistant against washcloth, water and sweat

This product is a foundation and sunscreen in one. It provides a really good coverage so you can use this simply as a skincare product or a makeup product. One thing I really about this product is that gives me a matte coverage.

If you do not like oily products, you would really appreciate this one. It also comes with two tubes, the other is to make the formula lighter and the other is to make it darker. However, there is still no guarantee that you will end up with the perfect combo that will match your shade. It can also be too watery and hard to blend in.

Things We Liked

  • Provides tinted coverage
  • Gives a full coverage
  • Provides a matte texture
  • Comes with two tubes, one to make it lighter and the other to make it darker
  • Free from parabens, dyes and other chemicals
  • Contains anti-oxidants

Things We Didn't Like

  • The consistency is too watery and lightweight
  • Because of the formula, the product can be hard to blend in
  • No guarantee that you’ll get the perfect match for your shade

This product comes with an SPF of 30. What’s more is that it also offers 20% Zinc Oxide. One thing I absolutely loved about this product is that it’s a cruelty free and vegan cosmetic. It also moisturizes well and provides a full coverage. Unlike with the previous one, you don’t have to worry about mixing and matching because this product is available in a multitude of shades.

Moreover, this sunscreen and BB cream in one does not leave white residue which is a big plus. One thing I didn’t like about this product is its smell. When I applied it onto my skin using my fingers, the smell lasted all day.

Things We Liked

  • Provides an SPF of 30
  • Since it’s a BB Cream and sunscreen in one product, it also gives really good coverage
  • Comes in a variety of shades
  • It is a cruelty free and vegan cosmetic

Things We Didn't Like

  • Has a not so good scent that lasts all day

I absolutely fell in love with this product because of its chemical free formula. It only utilizes one active ingredient which is Zinc Oxide which is a mineral reflector that creates and provides a veil on your skin. All these mean that it provides you a very broad protection against both UVA and UVB rays. However, I didn’t like how this product made me a bit oily and bit itchy.

Things We Liked

  • Contains only one active ingredient which is Zinc Oxide that provides a protective veil for your skin
  • Protects against UVB and UVA rays
  • Has a chemical free formula

Things We Didn't Like

  • Makes you feel greasy
  • Dries out the skin a bit
  • Makes you feel itchy afterwards

Factors That You Need to Know Before Buying

1. SPF Content

One of the factor that makes a certain sunscreen more valuable than others is the amount of its SPF content. The higher the SPF content is, the longer you can stay under the harmful UVB rays of the sun. There are a number of skincare or beauty products such as moisturizer with only an SPF content of 10 or 20. And some people do actually choose to purchase products like this. However, as a general rule of thumb, choose products with at least an SPF content of 30.

2. Type of UV Rays

It is essential to know the different UV rays because different Uv rays also affect your skin in different ways.

First let’s talk about UVB Rays. These rays are primarily responsible for affecting the uppermost layer of your skin. It mainly causes burns in the skin or peeling of the skin. The uppermost layer of the skin is also called the epidermis. The UVB rays does not also penetrate through the layers of your skin.

Now, let us move on to UVA Rays. Unlike the previous one, UVA Rays have the capability to penetrate through your epidermis or the top most layer of your skin. Exposure to these rays mostly result into skin conditions related to aging such as wrinkles and also tanning. Tanning happens when your skin is exposed to UVA Rays because once they penetrate the skin, the activity done by melanocytes is increases to a deeper level. This, as a result, produces more of that brown pigment, or better known as the melanin.

Lastly, is the UVC Rays. However, I will not really go over this because it can’t even get through the ozone layer meaning it does not affect us.

3. Persistent Pigment Darkening factor or UVA Protection

This is probably the most overlooked factor when looking for sunscreens. It is common that people automatically look for the SPF. However, unknown to many people is what we call the PPD factor or the Persistent Pigment Darkening factor. While the SPF is mainly and primarily responsible for protecting your skin from UVB Rays, the Persistent Pigment Darkening factor helps to protect your skin from UVA rays.

After all, the UV Rays are responsible for causing the darkening of your skin. Generally, an amount of PPD 15 will be good. However, just like with SPF, more is definitely better in this case. Remember, its effectiveness against melasma and feasibility as a good sunscreen is equal to directly proportional to its Persistent Pigment Darkening factor.

Added Tips and Information

  • Your skin will be needing an ample amount of time to absorb the product. Some people just apply the product and rush off to work immediately. However, do note that at least a 15 minute period of time is necessary for the product to sink into your skin. Don’t immediately apply makeup onto your skin or go into the outdoors.
  • Don’t forget to reapply every now and then. Just like makeup products and cosmetics, you are going to have to retouch every now and then. At least, reapply every after two hours. Doing this will ensure that your skin is getting all the protection coverage it is going to need. Remember, with time, your product will also melt.
  • A little does not come a long way when it comes to sunscreen. Some people only apply a small dollop of the product for fear of feeling too greasy. However, this is a big no. You should be applying as many as you can. Otherwise, it will just be like getting an SPF 10 when your product contains an SPF of 30.
  • Sunscreen first, the rest later. Always apply your sunscreen on a bare face to ensure that your skin is well equipped with protection. The rest of your skincare routine such as moisturizer and primer should always go after applying your sunscreen.
